Atomic Gothic

I am fortunate enough to have stumbled across Mads' incredible comic "Atomic Gothic". I'll let him describe it in his words: ATOMIC GOTHIC takes place in 1950s/60s Atomic America where nuclear testing was commonplace and safety standards were nonexistent. DAN BOMBSITE leads the EXPERIMENTAL CIVIL DEFENSE in cleaning up the Military's top secret nuclear accidents. Hyjinks ensue!

What can I say? These unfortunate radioactive sods have bewitched me... luckily! And so I drew a little comic with them that you can check out below.

Screenshot redraw of the very first scene in 1917. It shows Schofield and Blake resting under a tree in the fields. The weather is calm, the scene is idyllic. Screenshot redraw of Schofield floating in the river, clinging to the log. His eyes are sad. Cherry blossoms ae falling from the sky. He cradles one between thumb and forefinger.

Screenshot redraw of Schofield and Blake at the hut. Schofield's black silhouette is stands in front of a fenster without a glass. Through the window, we see Blake roaming about outside.

I watched 1917 for in my history class! It made me a nervous wreck for an entire evening, but I can definitely recommend it. Have some traced stills (-: Also, fuck the cherry blossoms!!!
